COVID-19 UPDATE
We are pleased to once again offer in person assessments and treatments at the clinic to both new and returning clients. Our commitment to your health has never been more top of mind. We have taken the following measures to limit risk and ensure a safe environment for both clients and staff:
Screening: Before entry staff & clients are assessed for symptoms and exposure history.
Physical Distancing: We will be restricting the total number of individuals in the clinic at one time. There will be no waiting room within the clinic.
Appropriate use of PPE: It is mandatory for all clients to wear a clean mask at all times while in the clinic. You may use a cloth mask. All staff will use masks.
Cleaning & Disinfecting: You will be asked to sanitize your hands before entering and upon leaving the clinic. After each patient visit, the treatment room will be cleaned and disinfected. Common areas will be cleaned and disinfected regularly during the day.
We will continue to adjust our measures and protocols as necessary. While this is a challenging time for all of us, remember that under every mask is a friendly familiar face who is there to help you recover and make your experience a positive one! If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Our highly skilled and experienced team is committed to keeping you moving! The RA Centre Physiotherapy Clinic offers both physiotherapy and massage therapy treatments by Registered Physiotherapists and Registered Massage Therapists for both RA members and non-members.
Our physiotherapy treatments are primarily exercise focused, but also may include: manual therapy, modalities, and acupuncture. Our therapists are committed to keeping current with the most up-to-date research in order to provide an evidence-based practice treatment approach.
During your hour long initial consultation, your physiotherapist will provide education about your specific problem and discuss the various treatment options. Every treatment plan is developed through a shared decision making approach with the client, that is, it is based on each individual’s own goals and needs.
Manual therapy: A specialized form of hands-on treatment used by physiotherapists to treat muscle and joint problems.
Exercise programs: Physiotherapists are experts in assessing and optimizing movement using both mobility and strengthening exercises.
Patient education: An essential aspect of an effective treatment plan is education. Education regarding your pain, injury and how to best manage your specific problem is a priority. We listen and take the time to encourage and empower you with the information you need to make the best possible recovery.
Acupuncture: Our physiotherapist has trained through Acupuncture Canada and is rostered for this Authorized Activity as required by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
Massage Therapy: All massage therapists at our clinic are registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario
